Kahungye group is found in Rushaga tourism area of Bwindi Impenetrable national park and is led by the Silverback Ruzika. The habituation of this group started in 2008 with about 29 individuals including 3 adult males but due to intra-male rivalry, fission occurred in March 2012 creating the Busingye group. Today Kahungye group is composed of only 17 individuals; 4 Silverbacks, 3 blackbacks, 3 adult females, 3 sub-adult females, 1 sub – adult (whose sex is not yet confirmed), 1 juvenile female and 2 infants.
