Oruzogo group is found in Ruhija tourism sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and is led by the dominant Silverback Bakwate. Oruzugo group is fondly known for foraging and feeding on vegetation dominated by ‘Alchornea hitela’ plant (locally known as Oruzogo) upon which the group’s group name also originates. Feeding on this vegetation makes it unique because while Ozurogo group enjoys this vegetation other gorilla groups rarely eat it. Oruzogo whose habituation started in 2008 is composed of 17 individuals including; 3 Silverbacks, 1 black back, 6 adult females, 3 sub-adult males, 2 juveniles and 2 infants.
