Charles Kayijamahe joined IGCP in November 2011 as Field Officer. Since then, he has been working directly with Protected Areas in DRC, Rwanda and Uganda providing technical support and capacity building to park staff in gorilla conservation, law enforcement and wildlife monitoring. He has also participated in the implementation of different conservation science projects in the region. In February 2019, Charles changed roles and occupied a new strategic position in IGCP as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. In his new role, Charlse will be helping IGCP to monitor the implementation of the new strategy (2018-2024). His major task will be to collect and analyse data and information to apply in learning and adaptive management. Charles holds a Masters Degree in Geo Information for Environment and Sustainable Development and a Bachelors Degree in Zoology and Conservation.
